Cotati, California

Cotati is a small city in Northern California located just north of San Francisco between Petaluma and Rohnert Park. Brief History of Cotati

The area we currently know as Cotati was first inhabited by various Indian tribes including the Payinecha, Lumen-Takala and Kotati tribes. However, the land was granted to a man by the name of John Reed in 1827. Over the years, the territory switched hands several times; however, it was in 1890, when Newton Smyth began developing it into the city we know so well today.
